Safe and accessible water is a key indicator of public well-being. It is widely used for household and hygiene needs, food production and consumption, and drinking. To ensure that consumers receive safe and high-quality water, it must be treated in accordance with current national regulations and statutes.
In Estonia, drinking-water quality and maximum contaminant levels must comply with the applicable national requirements implementing Directive (EU) 2020/2184 on the quality of water intended for human consumption.
